The CCA provides department-wide leadership for curriculum development and assessment, with primary responsibility for designing, coordinating, and sustaining a comprehensive curriculum and assessment framework for the entire Residential Education Department. Unlike traditional live-in residence life roles, the CCA is a strategically focused position that centers on learning design, evaluation systems, staff capacity building and institutional alignment. The CCA leads departmental assessment planning, data collection, analysis, reporting, and improvement cycles; coordinates learning outcomes across residential programs; and supports professional and student staff in implementing evidence-based practices. The role integrates academic learning with residential experiences and ensures alignment with institutional priorities, accreditation standards, and student success goals. As a live-on professional, the CCA contributes to the residential community through the development, coordination, and assessment of residential curriculum and learning-centered initiatives that promote holistic student learning and development. The CCA participates in crisis response rotation as required and partners with housing and residential education staff to integrate curricular models, learning outcomes, and pedagogical practices into the residential environment. The residential system includes residence halls, apartments, and family housing communities. The full salary range for the Coordinator for Curriculum and Assessment is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training Required experience Minimum of 4-7 years of experience Required Knowledge, skills & abilities to manage crisis and emergency situations. Knowledge of University processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences. Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance. Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization. Abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills. Knowledge, skills & abilities to manage crisis and emergency situations. Required
