Teaching Full Job Description Job Description:
Sigmatech has an immediate opening for the following position This position requires familiarity in the following areas: First and foremost-DoW Targeting doctrine and processes, secondary DoW, Commercial, and Civil space operations and systems, ground systems, on-orbit systems, links, international space capabilities, threats, cyber operations/threats/security. The successful candidate will be familiar with and have working experience with Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Blooms' Taxonomy, and Chicago Style Manual for citing sources. The individual will develop and maintain lesson plans, visual aids and assessment material on multiple space subjects. Personnel should be open to feedback and collaboration with other contract employees to develop and deliver the courseware IAW company specifications. Travel is possible, up to 25% annually, including the occasional weekend.
Specific duties:
Postgraduate level adult education instructor and curriculum developer. Develop curriculum in areas of SME and additional subject areas as required. The individual should be comfortable delivering material in the classroom to demonstrate lesson objectives, intent and exercises to peers and students alike. Curriculum developer. Design, develop, implement, and maintain lesson plans and materials within the USAF Instructional System Development (ISD) guidelines to satisfy government educational requirements. Interface with internal and external agencies and customers as required to maintain up-to-date education program materials. Provide strategic guidance in the adoption of modern digital learning experiences, identification of knowledge and skills gaps, and creation of new learning paths to support space expertise at scale. Additional duties as required may be assigned. Required Skills/Experience Working knowledge of USSF Space Competencies Working knowledge of Commercial, Civil, and DoW space capabilities and operations Working knowledge and experience with targeting systems, doctrine and processes Working knowledge and experience with training and education systems and programs Working knowledge of, and experience with, DoW Operational level command and control Working knowledge of US Space strategies, policies and doctrine Working knowledge of United States Combatant Commands. Working knowledge of US partners in space Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
Experience and Skills:
Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree. Experience with DoW training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model, training records keeping and documentation. Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development and strategic direction Required Education Master's degree from an accredited institution in relevant field (8 years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement) The estimated ANNUAL salary for this position is $120,000 - $135,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
