With over 30 years of service, TML fosters positive change and creates opportunities for youth through programs focusing on education, social development, and personal growth. Position Summary The Progressive Educator is responsible for developing and delivering educational and career-focused learning experiences for TML youth and young adults. The position helps participants build the academic, technical, interpersonal, entrepreneurial, and workforce skills needed for educational and career success. The Progressive Educator will incorporate STEM, technology, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, career exploration, workforce development, and social-emotional learning into age-appropriate lessons, activities, projects, and experiences. The position will work directly with middle school students, high school students, and young adults and will collaborate with families, TML staff, schools, businesses, and community partners to expand participants' awareness of educational and career opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and facilitate educational activities, workshops, lessons, and projects for middle school, high school, and young adult participants. Integrate STEM, technology, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career exploration into youth programming. Introduce participants to current and emerging careers, industries, and educational pathways. Develop hands-on, project-based learning experiences that allow participants to apply knowledge and develop practical skills. Teach foundational entrepreneurship concepts, including problem-solving, opportunity identification, business ideas, and financial literacy. Help participants develop essential workplace skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, professionalism, adaptability, and time management. Support career exploration, job readiness, internship preparation, and workforce development activities. Connect participants with employers, entrepreneurs, professionals, colleges, training programs, and other educational and career resources. Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, hands-on activities, projects, and other educational resources. Use appropriate technology, digital platforms, and other learning tools to enhance instruction and participant engagement. Introduce participants to responsible, ethical, and effective uses of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Provide guidance, encouragement, and support as participants explore their educational, career, and entrepreneurial interests. Engage families by increasing awareness of educational, career, technology, entrepreneurship, and workforce opportunities. Collaborate with TML staff to integrate educational, STEM, technology, entrepreneurship, and workforce development activities across youth programs. Assist with engaging guest speakers, mentors, employers, entrepreneurs, community partners, and other professionals in participant learning experiences. Maintain accurate attendance, participation, assessment, and program records. Monitor participant engagement and progress and provide information needed for program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, community events, youth activities, and other organizational activities as assigned. Stay informed about current and emerging developments in education, technology, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and workforce trends. Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, Technology, Business, or a related field Experience working with middle school, high school, and/or young adult populations in an educational, youth development, workforce, or community-based setting. Demonstrated knowledge of STEM, technology, entrepreneurship, career exploration, or workforce development. Ability to incorporate technology and artificial intelligence into age-appropriate learning experiences. Strong instructional, communication, presentation, and classroom management skills. Ability to develop engaging, hands-on, project-based learning activities for diverse learners. Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, staff, educators, employers, and community partners. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, activities, and responsibilities. Ability to use common technology and digital tools for instruction, communication, documentation, and program management. Commitment to working with youth from diverse backgrounds and creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
