Job Description

All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation's policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and governmental regulations.
  • Scope, design and develop engaging training materials for a variety of delivery methods, including self-paced, mobile, video, podcast, online seminar, instructor-led training, interactive case studies and role-plays.
  • Create and maintain instructional materials including facilitator guides, documents, workbooks, case studies, manuals, quick reference guides and other learning resources.
  • Outline, storyboard, script, and communicate design ideas and next steps during all parts of the design & development process.
  • Collaborates with organizational leaders and SMEs to assist in developing content.
  • Develops and monitors training metrics and assesses the effectiveness of training resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers on training delivery methods and the effective use of instructional materials and technologies.
  • Oversee project rollouts, which can involve facilitating instructor-led training, as needed.
  • Maintain project plan, documentation, and ongoing progress.
  • Perform related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience:
  • At least three years of experience in creating engaging and innovative blended Learning content across a range of topics.
  • Expertise in adult learning and instructional design for various formats, including instructor-led, eLearning and mobile applications.
  • Efficient project management and organizational skills, overseeing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in needs assessment, visual design, storyboarding and script design.
  • Expert knowledge of course development software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, and the interface of various SCORM-compliant tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet.
  • Experience working with an LMS (uploading SCORM/AICC, testing loaded materials, light troubleshooting of loaded courses).
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with a broad range of stakeholders and internal partners to create innovative solutions, give and receive feedback, and creatively solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management and detail orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task in an evolving environment.
Education:
Bachelors in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
