Bring Your Customer Service and Organizational Expertise to a Mission-Driven Association Join the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) APC is expanding and seeking a CertificationEducation Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our certification and educational initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives on accuracy, exceptional customer service, and effective follow-through. If you enjoy managing details, building relationships, and contributing to a mission-driven organization, we'd love to hear from you. In this on-site role, you will support APC's certification and educational programs, helping to deliver an exceptional experience for members, certification candidates, volunteers, and other stakeholders. As an important member of our collaborative team, you'll coordinate activities, solve problems, manage details, and contribute to meaningful work that supports chaplains serving communities across the country. We offer a collaborative, supportive workplace and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive hourly pay of $26.00-$29.00 , based on experience Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Generous PTO, accruing up to 17 days annually Eight paid holidays annually Office closure and paid time off during the week between Christmas and New Year's 403(b) retirement plan eligibility after one year of employment Flexible scheduling when needed Professional development and growth opportunities A mission-focused, team-oriented culture What You'll Do As the CertificationEducation Coordinator , you will play a key role in supporting certification and educational initiatives by: Reviewing certification applications for completeness and compliance with established requirements Providing initial feedback to certification candidates regarding their application materials Responding to questions via email or phone from members and prospective candidates regarding certification requirements and processes Delivering exceptional customer service to members, volunteers, and stakeholders Preparing dockets, agendas, meeting materials, and supporting documentation for certification commission meetings Assisting with the scheduling, coordination, and promotion of educational programs, webinars, and meetings Maintaining accurate records and databases related to certification and educational activities What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of work experience and education Three or more years of experience in an association, nonprofit, credentialing, certification, education, or related environment preferred Comfortable working with databases and membership management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to interact tactfully with professionals at all levels within the association Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills The ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion Strong follow-up, problem-solving, and time management skills A collaborative, team-oriented mindset Work LocationTravel This position is based in APC's office located at: 2800 W. Higgins Road, Suite 295, Hoffman Estates, IL. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite Monday through Friday. Typical office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. , and on a very limited basis, evenings extending to approximately 6:00 p.m. as business needs require.
