Job Description

Title:
Professional Learning Co-Coordinator Assignment:
Beginning 2027-2028: 10 month Category H Stipend ; class concessions TBA but may range from .2 - .4; summer work as needed Reports to:
Director of Curriculum & Instruction Overview:
Assists Director of Curriculum & Instruction in: Coordination of the Professional Learning Team Development and implementation of the instructional coaching program Development and management of comprehensive four-year new teacher induction program Development and management of mentoring program for all teachers in the induction program Research and analysis in the area of professional development for teachers, including induction programs, mentoring, instructional coaching, SEL, critical thinking, equity, and general educational topics.
Qualifications:
Minimum of ten years of teaching experience Knowledge and use of current best practices and pedagogy Knowledge and experience related to curriculum, instruction, research, and data analysis Knowledge and experience related to adult learning Knowledge and experience related to adult learning, new teacher induction, mentoring, instructional coaching, and critical thinking Proven leadership and extensive implementation of the district's Belonging Initiatives Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills Demonstration of collaborative and collegial relationships Leader Teacher (Scale V)
Responsibilities:
Co-chairs the Professional Development Council In conjunction with the PDC and members of the Professional Learning Team, plans all-staff Institute Days, including the construction of schedules, agendas, and supporting materials In conjunction with the PDC and members of the Professional Learning Team, participates in the planning of Learning Collaboratives Manages special professional learning or curriculum and instruction projects Leads the Professional Learning Team Induction Team Partners with the Director of Curriculum & Instruction and members of the Induction team to design, implement, and refine the four-year induction program Coordinates induction and mentor meetings with members of the Induction team Instructional Coaching Program Leads instructional coaching team to ensure consistency and growth within the program Provide direct instructional coaching to 4-5 teachers per year Belonging Initiative Works in conjunction with Equity Liaisons to plan and deliver professional development. Research in professional learning for teacher development Keeps abreast of current research and trends in professional learning Involvement in school committees and initiatives that impact or require professional development for faculty Provides research and data related to support professional learning activities Other projects as assigned.
