Description:
The Outreach Education Coordinator serves as Newman University's primary on-site representative at a partner community college, supporting bachelor's degree completion pathways, initially including the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Elementary Education programs. This role helps students successfully navigate their educational journey through advising, recruitment, enrollment support, retention initiatives, and collaborative partnership efforts between both institutions. What You'll Do Serve as the primary Newman University representative at Allen Community College, strengthening the partnership between both institutions. Support students throughout their educational pathway by providing advising, enrollment guidance, degree planning assistance, and transfer support. Recruit and engage prospective students through outreach activities, presentations, events, school visits, transfer fairs, and community engagement opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with community college faculty, staff, advisors, administrators, and community partners. Promote student success by supporting retention efforts, maintaining regular communication with students, and connecting them to appropriate resources. Coordinate local recruitment and outreach initiatives while maintaining accurate records of student interactions, advising activities, and recruitment efforts. Collaborate with university departments and leadership to support program growth, scheduling needs, and student services.
Requirements:
What We're Looking for Bachelor's degree required. Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with partners across multiple institutions. Experience in higher education, admissions, recruiting, advising, enrollment management, or student support is preferred. Ability and willingness to travel locally for recruitment activities, school visits, and partnership events. Experience working with transfer students, first-generation students, adult learners, or other diverse student populations is preferred. Familiarity with higher education enrollment processes, academic advising practices, and outreach programming is a plus.
