Designing Highly Effective Classrooms for Fall 2026 The developmental programs for students with significant disabilities have adopted TeachTown's enCORE curriculum, which is adapted for each of the four content areas: math, ELA, science, and social studies. The overarching goal of the three days is to set teachers up for successful implementation in September. Success in our classrooms relies heavily on proper structures and supports from the first day of school.

Qualifications:

Must be a developmental programs teacher K-12+: Horizons, Bridges, Connections, and Gateways (formerly called Life skills, City Resource Room, and ASD)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend one, two, or all three days of the sessions (August 18, 19, and 20) Collaborate with grade level colleagues to plan curriculum for the fall using TeachTown's encore Day 1: 8:30-3:00 (each session is 3 hours)

Session A:

CORE 101

for new teachers or Beginning of Year Refresher for current users

Session B:

Classroom Management (MTSLF) Day 2: 8:30-1:30

Session B:

Intro to Classroom Screen, Lesson Pix, and Visuals Day 3: 8:30-1:00 Whole day: Planning and Implementation-With support from coordinators and coaches, following scope and sequence, plan the enCORE unit for your grade level covering Sept. - Nov. Paid contract rate for up to 15 hours; first day is 6.5 hours including ½ hour lunch
