Teacher:
MTSS collaborates with principals, specialists, general educators, and building-based staff to establish and strengthen the use of MTSS structures, systems, and practices outlined by Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This role supports schools in developing coherent tiered academic and behavioral supports, data-informed decision-making processes, universal screening and progress-monitoring systems, and effective intervention and extension pathways that respond to the needs of all learners. This position is grant-funded and contingent upon the continued availability of grant funding
Qualifications:

Massachusetts DESE Elementary License with SEI endorsement or additional license in ESL Master's Degree in Education Deep technical knowledge of the core tenets of MTSS, as defined by the
DESE MTSS
Blueprint Exceptional data literacy skills
Desired Qualifications :
Ability to build professional relationships with principals, instructional specialists, and educators that inspire teacher trust, self-reflection and collaboration Deep knowledge of implementation science and the change process; experience leading change processes in support of improved student outcomes Experience implementing MTSS systems, structures, and practices within an elementary school setting Must demonstrate an investment to creating equitable learning experiences for all students using Culturally Responsive Instruction and Universal Design for Learning practices Strong communication skills, including an exceptional ability to calibrate support and guidance based on individual educator self-efficacy Deep knowledge of the MA Curriculum Frameworks for Literacy, Math, and Social-emotional learning A working knowledge of current research, trends in evidence-based practices, and resources related to district goals Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To): Collaborate with principals, instructional specialists, general educators, and building-based staff to design, implement, and strengthen schoolwide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) aligned with guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Support the development and continuous improvement of tiered academic, behavioral, and social-emotional systems that ensure all students receive timely and appropriate levels of support and challenge. Facilitate the use of universal screening, diagnostic, and progress-monitoring data to identify student needs, determine interventions or extensions, and monitor outcomes. Lead and support collaborative problem-solving teams focused on reviewing student data, identifying root causes, and creating actionable support plans. Provide direct instructional services, intervention, and/or enrichment for students as determined by school and district priorities. Coach and support educators in implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, differentiated core instruction, targeted interventions, and enrichment opportunities. Assist in designing schedules, service delivery models, and resource allocation systems that maximize student access to interventions and extensions. Monitor fidelity of MTSS practices and interventions, helping teams evaluate effectiveness and refine systems based on outcomes. Build staff capacity through professional learning, modeling, consultation, and collaborative planning related to MTSS practices. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication related to student supports, progress, and program implementation. Partner with families to communicate student progress, available supports, and strategies that strengthen home-school collaboration. Participate in district initiatives, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement efforts connected to Title I programming and MTSS implementation.

Work Environment :
The majority of work is performed in a school/classroom environment. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate. Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Rarely absent or late unless the situation is of an emergency nature.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job the teacher is frequently required to kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch. The teacher is periodically required to stand; while talking and listening. The teacher is occasionally required to sit; walk; lift; or carry.
