Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support to teachers in developing and implementing core and enrichment curriculum Develop and/or assist with classroom and enrichment schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing levels in accordance with school and state requirements Lead and support teacher observations, orientation, training, coaching, and professional development Promote children's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development by adapting activities to meet individual needs Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members Provide positive guidance and support children's social-emotional development Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with children and their families Understand and consistently implement Goddard Health & Safety policies and procedures Participate in required and recommended training programs, conferences, and other professional development opportunities Monitor and maintain program compliance with Goddard Quality Assurance (QA) standards Oversee and support daily classroom operations and documentation, including daily reports, Kaymbu, COR Advantage, portfolios, and related materials Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; candidates currently enrolled in a degree program may also be considered Previous administrative, supervisory, or leadership experience in a childcare or educational setting EEC Director II Certification for Infant/Toddler and Preschool Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively Availability to work within the school's operating hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00
PM General Qualifications:
Candidates must meet applicable state requirements and the national hiring standards, including: Ability to hear conversational speech, with or without a hearing aid Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses Ability to speak clearly and be understood under normal circumstances Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during an emergency Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations
