Job DescriptionProgram Overview This Volkswagen technical training program supports the development, standardization, and delivery of high-quality learning content for VW technicians across training locations. The program transforms complex vehicle systems and diagnostic concepts into engaging classroom and digital learning experiences, including structured course materials, hands-on tasks, multimedia resources, and assessments. Through collaboration with technical trainers, academy leads, and subject-matter experts, the program promotes consistent instruction, practical real-world application, and continuous improvement in technician capability.

Position Summary We are seeking a highly creative automotive technical curriculum developer to create engaging, industry-leading training for OEM clients. The role involves developing instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, eLearning, and microlearning content—including video scripts—using storytelling and interactive instructional strategies. The developer will collaborate with account teams, designers, production staff, and OEM clients to analyze training needs and produce course outlines, storyboards, guides, communication materials, and related training assets. Content will be designed for delivery to technical automotive personnel and aligned with appropriate instructional methodologies, including Bloom's Taxonomy.

Key Responsibilities Lead, oversee, or manage... Develop and implement... Support cross-functional teams by... Analyze and report on... Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with... QualificationsRequired Qualifications Design and write instructor-led and web-based training materials using both traditional as well as modern, interactive, and narrative-based learning approaches Deliver/Facilitate technical training courses as well as lead delivery support activities such as Train the Trainer to other technical trainers and OEM personnel Develop course outlines, storyboards, video and voiceover scripts, job aids, and production direction notes Create both new training and updates to existing OEM training courses Interface with client to help define training requirements, goals, and objectives through consultation as well as structure instructional analytical methodology Support clients with development of strategic training roadmaps based on OEM vision and priorities, by learning the clients' business Apply knowledge of eLearning principles, instructional theories (including ADDIE, design thinking, etc.), and adult education to design engaging interactive training Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to differing OEM training styles, objectives, and preferences for their training curriculum Attend internal and client meetings Participate in multiple projects at a given time Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within timelines and budget Consistently deliver projects on time and within expectations Qualifications Five (5)+ years of automotive technician experience Three (3) + years of automotive technical instructional design/course development experience Experience designing instructor-led training, eLearning, and video Excellent writing and communication skills Impeccable attention to detail and quality of work delivered Dedication to client satisfaction, and a passion for modern learning theory Ability to work in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams Preferred Qualifications Nice to have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Articulate 360 Additional InformationMSX International is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer committed to employing a diverse workforce.
