(HHI), a private non-profit corporation, is one of the largest freestanding behavioral healthcare agencies in the area. HHI, accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan, provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages. The Education and Training Specialist position facilitates and supports training initiatives for employees focusing on enhancing the understanding of mental health and substance use disorders.

POSITION IS PART TIME

Work Schedule Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday days.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

Associate's or bachelor's degree in education, training, social work, etc. Two or more years in providing education and training, preferably in mental health and substance use disorders. Strong computer skills including Excel proficiency. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation and communication skills. Familiarity with learning management systems (preferred). RELIAS especially.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITES

Assist with the maintenance of employee clinical training records within RELIAS system. Download, review and report data for status and compliance. Assist and lead computer training with new hires during orientation. Provide support and hands on assistance to learners at all levels based on their abilities and comfort. Assist in organizing, preparing, and continuously improving training materials and support resources to ensure they are current, effective, and engaging. Assist in ensuring that training materials are accessible, easy to comprehend, and effectively address the targeted learning objectives. Facilitate interactive and engaging training sessions, adapting methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and audiences. Utilize a mix of training mediums, including in-person workshops, webinars, and e-learning platforms to maximize reach and impact. Assist in implementing strategies to engage the community and staff in conversations around mental health and substance use. Willingness to travel to different Hegira locations if needed for in-person training sessions. Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
