Job Description:
Our Company is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist for a 3-to-4-month contract engagement to support the design, development, and deployment of engaging digital learning solutions that enable our rapidly growing workforce. This role will partner closely with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), the Workday HCM Operations team, and Human Resources to transform business knowledge into high-quality online learning experiences delivered through the Workday Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate is a creative instructional design professional who combines strong project management skills with expertise in adult learning principles and digital content development. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish strong stakeholder partnerships, maintain project timelines, and deliver polished learning solutions that support organizational capability, compliance, and operational excellence. What You'll Do Design, develop, and implement engaging online learning experiences using adult learning methodologies and instructional design best practices. Build a comprehensive internal certification program, including structured learning paths, knowledge assessments, certification criteria, and completion credentials that can scale with continued growth. Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to capture business processes and convert technical content into interactive, learner-focused training materials. Develop "Just-in-Time" learning resources, including SCORM-compliant eLearning modules, video demonstrations (MP4), job aids, reference guides, and performance support materials. Manage a portfolio of learning projects supporting multiple business functions, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Manufacturing, LEAN initiatives, Legal, Human Resources, and other operational teams. Coordinate stakeholder meetings, content reviews, approvals, and publication schedules to ensure projects remain on scope, on schedule, and aligned with business priorities. Produce learning content compatible with Workday Learning while ensuring a consistent learner experience and adherence to branding and quality standards. Maintain organized project documentation, development standards, and version control throughout the content lifecycle. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field preferred. Experience designing and developing eLearning content using instructional design methodologies. Experience creating SCORM-compliant learning content for Learning Management Systems (LMS). Experience producing and editing video and audio learning content. Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and visual presentation. Working knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder management, consultation, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Articulate Rise and/or Articulate Storyline. Experience administering or publishing content within Workday Learning. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Clipchamp, Audacity, and Microsoft 365. Experience supporting learning initiatives within manufacturing, automotive, technology, or other high-growth organizations. Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
Pay:
$40.00 - $42.00 per hour
