Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Nursing Education Specialist for Orientation and the Graduate Nurse Residency Program uses effective design principles to develop, organize, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of the general orientation program for new nursing staff; coordinates the development of educational and orientation components of the Graduate Nurse Residency Program; demonstrates the ability to teach effectively at all levels of learning ability; assists with Nursing Division and organization-wide educational programming; and serves as a resource for all levels of nursing staff.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of hospital clinical expertise. Previous experience in education and staff development preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Positive interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in the use of desktop/laptop/mobile technology hardware, software, and audio-visual technologies.
OTHER:
AHA Instructor.

RN (Registered Nurse)
