JOB SUMMARY
Working collaboratively with subject matter experts and aligning with Evangel University s mission, apply instructional design theories and methods to design, implement, evaluate, and improve online activities, courses, and programs. Reports to the Director of Digital Learning.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administration and tier one support for all users for Evangel s learning management system (CANVAS) and other integrated technologies. Work collaboratively with faculty to design and improve online courses using media creation tools. Mentor faculty in best practices for course management and learner engagement. Research, evaluate, and recommend educational technologies for use in online courses. Evaluate online courses according to best practices in online education and HLC requirements. Maintain currency with features and roadmaps for Canvas and other integrated technologies. Develop and maintain digital resources to explain and demonstrate effective use of the LMS and related technologies. Develop and manage improvement plans for Evangel s online courses and programs. Assist in the development of on-demand extra-curricular training and resources for online faculty and students. Assist with institutional research reporting and data analysis, as needed. Provide exceptional customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master s Degree or higher in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, educational technology, or related field. Understanding of online andragogical approaches and the uniqueness of digital learning, both from a faculty and student perspective. Proficiency in using a variety of digital learning technologies and strategies to create engaging and effective educational experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite) Ability to work collaboratively to efficiently manage a project to completion. Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Spanish Biliteracy Required:
Exceptional ability to read, write, and edit complex educational content in Spanish.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in education, instructional design, or related field. Higher education experience is preferred. Experience in developing online courses and/or teaching online.
