Student Affairs - Testing center Employment type: Part-time wage, 29 hours or less per week, non-benefitted

Position Purpose :

Test Proctors in the PVCC Testing Center and Professional Testing and Certification Center ( PTCC ) maintain confidentiality and security of all test materials and strive to prevent academic dishonesty.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer a variety of tests: online and paper tests for PVCC and non- PVCC students, licensures, and certifications. Send and receive confidential testing material to and from faculty at PVCC and other institutions. Maintain integrity of testing information. Handle day-to-day operations accurately. Duties include but are not limited to: Answer phone calls. Manage email communication. Organize incoming material. Manage Testing Center calendar. Handle multi-step procedures while helping customers. Observe students during testing via security cameras and computer monitoring program. Troubleshooting as needed. Foster a warm and welcoming environment. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude even under stressful conditions. Assist students with special accommodations and technology. Exhibit excellent customer service skills while working with students, faculty, staff and community members. Attend training sessions as needed. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications Consistent record of on-time attendance, reliable task completion, and trusted access to sensitive information requiring strict confidentiality. Availability to work two Saturdays per month (typically 10 AM - 2 PM). Ability to manage multi-step procedures and refocus when tasks are interrupted. Experience in customer-facing roles with a track record of accurately interpreting and resolving customer concerns effectively as evidence in positive feedback from performance evaluations. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Experience serving customers from a variety of cultural, socioeconomic, or ability backgrounds. References/reviews highlight effective teamwork. Proficient In Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and professionally (verbal and non-verbal; written). Successfully managed multiple responsibilities including filing papers/folders under timed deadlines with minimal errors.
