Job Description
DEFINITION
To perform a variety of administrative duties for the Academic and Career Readiness program, conduct department testing, and assist students in all Academic and Career Readiness programs.SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direct supervision from the Director of Adult High School & Career Pathways; receives general supervision from the Director of Academic & Career Readiness. Exercises nosupervision.ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTION STATEMENTS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Essential Functions:
Provide complex administrative and operational support to the Adult High School (AHS) and High School Equivalency (HSE) programs. Assist AHS and HSE program directors with student orientations and intake processes, including testing students. Coordinate with partner high schools to receive transcripts and withdrawal forms prior to orientation. Conduct AHS student class placement advising. Register AHS students for current and upcoming sessions, including scheduling in Advansys and Edmentum. Process transcripts for AHS and transfer credits to CFCCtranscript. Enter AHS credits and updatetranscripts. Process AHS graduate records to New Hanover and Pender Countyschools. Assist with data entry processes and maintenance of AHS student tracking spreadsheet. Monitor, check and approve online AHS attendance. Coordinate and proctor AHS student post-testing in the testing lab. Assist students and visitors to the department with information about all of ourprograms.QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
AllAcademicandCareerReadinesspoliciesandproceduresincludingNRSreportingrequirements. Standardized testingprocedures. State and area agencies associated with Academic and Career Readinessprograms. Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office and GoogleSuite.Ability to:
Interpret and apply CFCC goals, objectives, policies, procedures, rules, andregulations. Establishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswiththosecontactedinthecourseofwork. Respond to routine inquiries and requests forinformation. Maintainarelationshipwithavarietyofstudents,instructors,andco-workersconducivetooptimal workingconditions. Coordinate work assignments withothers. Respond to a work schedule that includes working some nights eachmonth. Work independently in the absence of directsupervision. Communicate clearly and respectfully, both orally and inwriting Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for: Makingobservations Reading andwriting - Communicating with others Operating assignedequipment Traveling to various worklocations Handling varied taskssimultaneously Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following: Standing or sitting for extended periods oftime Presenting instructionalprograms Operating assignedequipment Maintain mental capacity, which allows the capability of: Making sounddecisions Responding toquestions Demonstrating intellectualcapabilitiesEXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
