This part-time contract opportunity, beginning on September 28, 2026, and concluding on May 30, 2027, is perfect for an experienced Reading Specialist seeking the flexibility of just 2 hours per week over 2-3 days. You will work exclusively with a single 15-year-old student, allowing you to provide personalized attention and tailor your expertise to meet their unique learning needs.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in education or a related field Valid Reading Specialist standard certificate Previous experience with individualized instruction at the high school level preferred Familiarity with career and technical education settings is a plus

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one reading instruction and support to a high school student Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on the students current skills and academic program Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed to support literacy growth Collaborate with staff to coordinate strategies and report on student achievement Foster an encouraging and supportive learning environment In this role, youll have the opportunity to focus entirely on maximizing one students progress, making a lasting impact within a specialized setting.
