Company Overview Positive Beginnings Inc. is a dedicated special education preschool serving children ages 3 to 5 years in the Queens area. Our centers in the Queens regions provide a nurturing environment tailored to meet the unique needs of children with developmental and learning differences, supporting their growth and early childhood development. Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Educational Evaluators, both Monolingual and Bilingual, to join our team. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments of young children to determine their educational needs, support individualized learning plans, and collaborate with educators and families. Your expertise will help shape effective educational strategies that foster growth, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional development for children with diverse needs. Responsibilities Perform thorough evaluations of children's cognitive, behavioral, social, and academic skills using standardized tools and observational techniques Develop detailed assessment reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations for educational planning Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and other stakeholders to design tailored instructional strategies Assist in curriculum development aligned with early childhood education standards and learning technology integration Support classroom management by providing insights into student behavior management and conflict resolution strategies Participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and compliance records in the Learning Management System (LMS) Experience Prior experience conducting educational or psychological evaluations for young children in preschool or early childhood settings Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored for early learners with special needs Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technology tools used in educational assessments and documentation Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays in classroom or clinical environments Background in special education practices such as behavior management, Montessori methods, or preschool curricula like Toddler care or Preschool experience Strong communication skills to effectively convey assessment results to families and team members Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on childhood development and literacy education
Pay:
From $150.00 per hour
