Tallmadge, OH Schedule:

Sundays, approximately 5-8 hours per week including preparation time

Compensation:

$15-$21/hour (based on experience), paid monthly

September 2026 Position Summary We are seeking a warm, dependable, and organized Part-Time Youth Education Coordinator to lead our Sunday youth program for children and teens ages 5-18. This is an in-person Sunday position ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, can adapt activities for different ages, and is comfortable creating a welcoming environment where children and teens can explore spiritual ideas, ask questions, and participate at their own level. A curriculum is provided. The coordinator will review the weekly lesson, prepare materials and activities, and lead the Sunday morning youth classroom. Key Responsibilities Lead the youth classroom on Sunday mornings in a fun, safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. Review the provided curriculum each week and prepare the Sunday lesson. Organize and prepare craft supplies, handouts, and activity materials before Sunday morning. Adapt lessons for a wide age range, including simple hands-on activities for younger children and age-appropriate discussion for older youth and teens. Encourage participation while respecting different ages, personalities, abilities, and levels of spiritual understanding. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Serve as a chaperone for occasional regional youth retreats and events down the road, which will involve traveling with the youth group (preferred but not required). Qualifications Experience teaching, supervising, mentoring, or leading groups of children or teens. Experience working with multiple age groups is highly valued. Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to communicate comfortably with both young children and teenagers. Dependable and able to prepare materials independently each week. Open to metaphysical Bible interpretation, interfaith perspectives, and inclusive spiritual concepts. Familiarity with Unity or New Thought teachings is preferred. Willingness to travel for occasional overnight youth retreats is preferred. Valid driver's license is a plus. About the Schedule This is a part-time Sunday position averaging approximately 5-8 hours per week , including Sunday morning classroom time and weekly lesson preparation.

Pay:
