Community Education Coordinator

Summary As a Community Education Coordinator at Pathway Enterprises, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs tailored to the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. This position is essential in promoting personal growth and community integration through effective educational strategies. This position markets, develops, recruits, teaches, and supervises course work offered through Pathway's Community Education Center. The successful candidate must be highly self directed and have skills to collaborate and motivate others. The position works directly with adults and/or youth who have disabilities, county, state and local partners as well as schools, community groups, organizations and clubs in order to further Pathway's mission. The successful candidate is responsible for creating an atmosphere of positive learning, recreating, working and growing so that classroom participants, staff, and volunteers can learn, play, and strive for personal and professional goals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred, or High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of professional and supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to write and interpret professional reports, procedural manuals and curricula. Ability to present information and respond to questions from individuals served, family members, the general public, clubs and organizations in a professional manner. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
