Job Summary The mission of African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC) is to educate Catholic women religious in Africa to strengthen their leadership capacity to provide services that address local and global challenges. ASEC recognizes that women religious in Africa profoundly impact their communities and society. The services they provide are making a significant contribution to the advancement of sustainable human development and to addressing the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). To advance these efforts, ASEC provides educational opportunities for women religious in Africa so that they may further develop their talents and potential, build their education credentials, and enhance the leadership and ministerial roles they assume at all levels of society. The Administrative Specialist position will work with the Executive Director (ED) and other staff on administrative support, including travel, calendar management, company events, meeting planning, taking minutes and handling financial documentation. This position will act as primary administrative support for the office including but not limited to general management of the office and overseeing operational efficiency. Education /
Training:
College/Associate degree (Work experience is an added advantage)
Experience/Technical Skills:
Minimum of 3years of experience as an administrative assistant or office administrative assistant. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular), G-Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Calendar and Google Drive). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Cross cultural competence.
