Job Summary Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Assistant Registrar for Catalog, Curriculum Development and Support plays a crucial role in supporting academic units in the creation and implementation of new and revised programs. This position provides support to academic departments, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, building program requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders. This position involves management of staff and maintaining the university's degree audit system. Responsibilities• Curriculum Management Coordinates the university's curriculum management and catalog production timeline and processes. Plans, coordinates, and acts as liaison with academic units for annual catalog production. Maintains university's catalog and curriculum management systems, staying current on product changes and updates, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. Proactively troubleshoot technical issues with catalog and curriculum management systems, implementing efficient solutions to maintain optimal system performance. Provides academic units with training for catalog and curriculum management systems. Provides various best practice workshops related to the university's curriculum process. Maintain program coding in the student information system. Curriculum Support Provides support to academic units for all curriculum related matters. Assist various committees with program and course creation and revisions. Act as a central point of contact for academic units seeking assistance in developing new proposals and program revisions. Make recommendations to the Associate Registrar regarding potential policy changes and workflow/process efficiencies. Evaluate and understand the intentions of the academic units and work with the Office of the Registrar?s Leadership team to determine options. Provide guidance and ensure alignment with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with advising staff to incorporate program requirements into degree audit tools. Collaborates with university partners to ensure alignment with curricular requirements and marketing materials. Degree Audit Tool Oversight Oversees the development, administration, and maintenance of the university's degree audit systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to degree audit tools, collaborating with ITS and vendor support when necessary. Provide ongoing training and support to academic advisors and academic units regarding program requirements. Supervision Interviews, hires, coaches and mentors staff Prepares annual evaluations, and assist with merit increase decisions Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree Two or more years of experience working in a Registrar's Office, academic advising, or similar academic administration. Knowledge of university policies and accreditation standards Knowledge of higher education policies and regulations. Familiarity with student information systems and record-keeping software. Familiarity with the program development processes. Familiarity with student information systems, curriculum and degree audit tools. Modes of Work Hybrid:
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence.
