- Contract Position (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity)

- Hybrid (remote/onsite, depending on location and team needs) Position Summary The Chinese Curriculum & Content Specialist will play a key role in developing, organizing, and enhancing Chinese instructional content across multiple educational programs.
This role combines:
- curriculum research

- cross-functional project execution The ideal candidate understands both Chinese language pedagogy and digital educational product development, and is excited to work in an AI-integrated content and curriculum development environment, where AI is embedded into research, ideation, workflow design, productivity, and content innovation.

- IB Chinese programs Responsibilities include:
- interpreting curriculum standards
- analyzing instructional progressions
- identifying classroom expectations and instructional needs
- supporting curriculum framework development 2. Chinese Content Development Develop, revise, and optimize Chinese instructional content, including:
- reading materials
- instructional content
- workbook exercises
- learning activities
- assessment items
- teacher support resources Ensure content is:
- linguistically accurate
- age-appropriate
- pedagogically effective
- aligned with curriculum goals 3. Curriculum Design & Resource Mapping Support structured curriculum development by:
- aligning platform resources with instructional objectives
- participating in semester and unit-level curriculum design
- organizing content into coherent instructional pathways
- supporting differentiated curriculum solutions for different learner groups This may include:
- teaching materials
- assigned readings
- workbook practice
- formative assessments
- summative assessments 4. Product Collaboration & Platform Development Work closely with Content, Product and IT teams to:
- support content-related product initiatives
- help define content taxonomy and tagging structures
- contribute to curriculum-related platform feature planning
- support quality assurance for content releases 5.
Assessment Development Support Collaborate on:
- formative assessment development
- summative assessment design
- instructional validity review
- level consistency and progression alignment 6. Project Execution & Cross-Team Coordination
- manage assigned content-related initiatives
- track deliverables and timelines
- participate in internal planning and reviews
- coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders 7. AI-Integrated Workflow & Innovation
- thrive in an AI-integrated working environment where AI is embedded into curriculum research, content development, workflow optimization, and productivity enhancement
- effectively leverage AI tools to accelerate ideation, structuring, drafting, iteration, and operational efficiency
- critically evaluate, refine, and elevate AI-generated outputs to ensure pedagogical quality, instructional relevance, and content accuracy
- contribute to the ongoing evolution of AI-integrated team workflows and content development practices Qualifications Required
- Native or near-native Chinese proficiency
- Strong written Chinese communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in one of the following (or related fields):
- Chinese Education
- Curriculum & Instruction
- Applied Linguistics
- Chinese Language / Literature
- Education
- Educational Technology 3+ years of relevant experience in:
- Chinese language teaching
- curriculum development
- educational content development
- Familiarity with K-12 Chinese instructional environments
- Comfort working in AI-integrated professional workflows and willingness to continuously adapt to evolving tools and processes. Preferred Experience with one or more of the following:
- Chinese Immersion programs
- CSL programs
- IB Chinese programs
- digital educational content development
- assessment design
- Edtech product environments
