Curriculum Development Assistant Duties include: Assist with the assembly, transcription, and preparation of archival materials for digitization as curriculum content for the History Lab website's forthcoming "Hoover Classroom Kits" for high school teachers. Draft, proof, and edit historical content for Hoover Classroom Kits website related to selected archival assets Develop and submit digitization request forms (based on archival research at Hoover Library & Archives) and track status Assist in updating website content Help coordinate departmental and interdepartmental project activities as needed, primarily working with the Hoover Library & Archives This position is hybrid, with some work to be performed onsite at the Hoover Institution Library & Archives and at Hoover work areas, and other work to be done remotely.

Curriculum Development Assistant Skills:
Excellent English writing and proofreading skills with demonstrated ability to write historical narrative. (Writing samples are required with application.) Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese Chinese, Russian, Eastern European languages, Farsi, Arabic, Japanese, or other relevant languages. Leading candidates will also demonstrate an understanding of history and have experience working with archival materials. The expected pay range for this position is $26-$40 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
