Job Description Summary:
This position reports directly to the Director of eLearning and is responsible for the design and delivery of effective instructional and supplemental materials for distance education. Ensures that high quality distance education courses are completed on schedule and within budget and serves as a resource for appropriate use of various media in support of teaching and learning at a distance. Provides faculty professional development and training.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Instructional/ Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Information Technology, Curriculum or a related field and three (3) years of recent related experience. •OR•Masters degree in Instructional/Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Information Technology, Curriculum or a related field and one (1) year of recent related experience in course or curriculum design may be used to qualify.Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Instructional/Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Information Technology, Curriculum or a related field. Three (3) or more years of recent experience with Blackboard, Brightspace by D2L, Instructure Canvas, or other learning management systems. Experience using API and LTI integrations. Demonstrated technical skills implementing Web-based tools, e.g. HTML , HTML5, streaming audio, video, etc.. Familiarity with graphic design elements appropriate for online instruction.
