Position Purpose:
This individual will implement the Buncombe County Schools' Gifted Services Plan in a school setting. The AIG specialist will promote best practices for differentiation in the regular classroom, support the academic and social-emotional needs of gifted learners on campus, teach extension and enrichment based lessons, advocate for advanced learner extra-curricular opportunities, maintain official documentation of AIG services provided, and facilitate campus AIG identification processes. Alternative Licensed Pathways:
If you are offered a position with BCS, our licensure specialist can share information on the 1-year Emergency License and later work with you to convert this to a Residency License.
Qualifications:
