Job Description

Category Schools - Reading Specialist Job Type Contract Step into a valued role supporting students' literacy development as a Dyslexia Therapist. You'll play a vital part in fostering reading skills and meeting the needs of students on both elementary and high school campuses. This contract position offers the opportunity to share your specialized expertise in a rewarding, collaborative environment.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
Valid General Teaching Endorsement required Possess one of the following credentials: Reading Endorsement, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), or Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP) Background as a Reading Specialist; experience providing targeted interventions to students with dyslexia Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnership with general and special education staff Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Core Responsibilities:
Provide multi-sensory, evidence-based reading intervention for students identified with dyslexia Collaborate with campus teams to design individualized instruction aligned with student needs Monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate results with educators and families Support literacy assessment, planning, and differentiation in both elementary and high school settings Serve as a resource for campus staff by sharing dyslexia-specific strategies and insights
