Job Description
Youth Health Associates (YHA) is a licensed residential treatment center for young males between the ages 12 to 18 who have experienced mental and behavioral difficulties. Our students do well in structured environments where they receive quality one-on-one support from youth mentors, therapists, and teachers. YHA is looking for an Education Coordinato r to assist our clients with their educational development in a residential treatment setting. The clients you will be working with will have varying academic ability. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to: Track client progress regarding individualized education goals throughout the year. Communicate client progress with team members and be a proactive problem solver. Assist clients with daily educational needs and monitor their educational advancement. Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss academic progress of students. Order and track educational supplies. Form positive rapport with students and coworkers.
Schedule:

Annual PTO Pay:
Starting around 24$+/hour!
Required:
Active Utah Teaching license Preferred experience and skills: Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, or Social Work preferred. Special Education skills and endorsement preferred, but not required. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter with strong organizational skills. Preferred experience in the mental health field.
•Program specific training is provided and required.
• Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Must be an active problem solver and work well with a team. Experience with Excel and spreadsheets is required. Must be able to communicate well with a team and work well with adolescent students. Experience working in the mental health environment is preferred, but program specific training is provided and required for Education Coordinator. Ability to form positive rapport with students and coworkers.
