Job Description

Summary Entry level position supporting MEP design through drafting, modeling, and coordination tasks under supervision. This position supports the BIM Manager with Revit content, documentation, quality checks, user resources, and routine technical tasks. It is designed for a student or early career candidate who wants practical experience with BIM standards and MEP engineering workflows. Work is completed under the direction of the BIM Manager, with training and progressively greater responsibility based on demonstrated ability. Primary Focus :
Support the BIM Manager with Revit content, documentation, quality checks, user resources, and routine technical tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist with creating, modifying, testing, and organizing Revit families for engineering production, including parameters, connectors, visibility, naming, type information, and scheduling. Maintain Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical family libraries and review content for standards, consistency, and performance. Support routine Revit template maintenance under BIM Manager supervision, including view templates, filters, schedules, browser organization, annotation content, and approved parameters. Test template updates, version upgrades, and internal software tools; document test cases, results, defects, and retesting. Apply company BIM and drafting standards and develop SOPs, workflow guides, checklists, and quick-reference materials. Perform standards and model health checks, identify issues, and escalate complex or high-risk items with appropriate documentation. Provide initial Revit support and issue triage; research common problems involving views, families, schedules, links, visibility, printing, and exports. Support training by preparing exercises, demonstrations, videos, handouts, and learning materials; assist with skill assessments and follow-up. Assist with AutoCAD standards and approved CAD-to-Revit workflows, including cleanup, layer review, export setup, and background preparation. Support project setup, linked model checks, file organization, and other assigned production tasks while following established standards and escalation procedures. Coursework or project experience using Revit or AutoCAD. Experience with Revit families, schedules, parameters, view templates, or worksharing. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, or similar tools. Experience creating technical documentation, instructional material, or short training videos. Interest in Dynamo, scripting, software testing, data management, or workflow automation. Previous internship, cooperative education, drafting, or AEC project experience.
