Location:

The Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking a Literacy and/or Math Learning Facilitator (0.2 Permanent, 0.2 One-Year Only) to join our team starting FY27. We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and approachable educator who will support a cohesive implementation of literacy and/or math instructional practices across our K-8 system. This dynamic position is critical to fostering strong student outcomes by partnering with teaching teams, interventionists, and administrators to ensure our curriculum and instructional practices are research-based, data-driven, and aligned with district priorities. Primary Responsibilities Work with teaching teams and administrators across the K-8 system, engaging educators in instructional practices across all curricular areas. Facilitate data teams and analyze student performance data and student work to track progress, determine performance trends, and identify action steps to address needs. Support teachers in using data to drive instruction, ensuring that strategies are tailored to meet individual student needs. Continuously evaluate curriculum and instructional practices to ensure they are research-based and aligned with district standards. Partner with intervention teams to ensure a unified approach between universal literacy instruction and targeted interventions. Coordinate, oversee, and support the administration of assessments, including benchmark, formative, and summative tools. Provide recommendations for instructional shifts based on assessment results and classroom observations. Curate and manage resources (instructional materials, digital tools, and professional development content), support the selection of programs and educational technology, and manage related budgets to ensure resources are effectively allocated. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess A Master's degree in education and/or a teaching endorsement in Elementary Education (K-6), or content-specific Middle Grades (5-9). Proven experience providing instructional coaching as well as teaching in classrooms—planning, implementing, and improving instruction for all students. Deep knowledge of the purpose and process of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Framework. Extensive understanding of Proficiency-Based Learning pedagogy and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) instructional planning model.
