Job Description
Company Overview Part 2 Afterschool is dedicated to providing children with a safe, nurturing environment where they can express themselves and grow socially, physically, artistically, and creatively. Our programs serve children of all ages through year-round preschool activities, afterschool care, school vacation programs, and summer camps. We pride ourselves on energetic staff who build strong relationships with families and school communities while maintaining high expectations for all. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Part 2 Afterschool Co-Director to lead our afterschool program alongside a fellow director. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire children through engaging activities, foster a positive learning environment, and support the development of social and emotional skills. The Co-Director will oversee daily program operations, coordinate activities, and ensure safety standards are upheld while creating an inclusive space where every child feels valued. Responsibilities Collaborate with the lead director to plan and implement engaging afterschool activities that promote creativity, social skills, and physical development Manage environments by applying effective behavior management and classroom management techniques Supervise staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality programming Ensure all licensing and safety protocols are followed Build strong relationships with children, families, school personnel, and community partners to foster a supportive environment Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and program documentation Requirements Prior experience working with children in large group settings Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage children actively Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, school staff, and team members Passion for childhood development, education, and creating enriching experiences for youth Join us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives by leading our vibrant afterschool community!
