: ; Milwaukee Public Schools is currently seeking a Curriculum Specialist STEM. ;The successful candidate will provide districtwide leadership for Career and Technical Education (CTE) STEM programs by leading curriculum development and continuous improvement; supporting high-quality instruction and educator effectiveness; coordinating professional learning; expanding industry and postsecondary partnerships; and ensuring STEM programs align with Wisconsin Academic Standards, Wisconsin CTE Standards, workforce needs, and district priorities. Demonstrated proficiency with instructional technology, productivity software, and technology tools commonly used in STEM education. ;Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead the development, review, revision, and implementation of STEM curriculum, scope and sequence documents, pacing guides, and instructional resources. ;Coordinate the continuous improvement of STEM courses to ensure alignment with industry-recognized credentials, postsecondary expectations, and district curriculum priorities. ;Review and revise course standards, competencies, and curriculum documents to maintain relevance with emerging technologies and workforce needs. Collaborate with teachers to design authentic project-based learning experiences and interdisciplinary STEM instruction. Support the development, implementation, and analysis of formative and summative assessments to improve STEM instruction and student achievement ; Work with CTE staff and local school staff to evaluate and improve CTE programs and options. ;Assist in the successful operation and coordination of Project Lead The Way, FIRST Robotics and

League, Fluid Power Challenge, NAF Academies of Information Technology and Engineering, CAD courses and related STEM school-based programs or courses. ;Design, facilitate, and evaluate high-quality professional learning aligned to district initiatives, instructional best practices, emerging technologies, and Wisconsin standards. ;Maintain expertise in Wisconsin Academic Standards, Wisconsin CTE Standards, and related state and national standards to ensure curriculum and instruction remain current and aligned. ;Work with staff at school-based Community Learning Centers, Recreation Department staff, local colleges, and universities and professional organizations for successful participation of MPS students in after school and summer camp opportunities in STEM. Work with CTE staff to develop recommendations for the Board of School Directors and district administration regarding STEM program development, continuous improvement, and alignment with community and workforce needs. ;Identify and pursue grant opportunities and external funding sources to support STEM programming. ;Monitor the day-to-day operations of programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and MPS regulations, as well as industry standards. ;Work with central services offices and departments to develop, staff, finance, and support CTE programs. ;Work with the teaching staff to ensure the delivery of services and instruction to students from special populations enrolled in CTE programs. ;Work with CTE staff and local school staff to ensure that career and technical education is available to all students. ;Work to develop methods and programs to ensure full participation in CTE programs regardless of sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability. ¿ Assist in Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) operations within the district. CTSO¿s include SkillsUSA, DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, and HOSA. ¿ Work with staff to integrate academic, CTE, and work-based learning opportunities, including but not limited to Youth Apprenticeship, Internships, Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE), and summer employment opportunities. ;Research and promote emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, engineering technologies, and digital tools that strengthen STEM instruction. ;Analyze program, assessment, credential attainment, and participation data to guide continuous program improvement and inform strategic decision making. ;Provide instructional coaching, technical assistance, and ongoing support to STEM educators to improve instructional practice and student outcomes. ;Develop and sustain partnerships with business, industry, higher education, workforce organizations, and community agencies to ensure STEM programs reflect current workforce expectations and expand opportunities for students. ;Facilitate collaborative planning and continuous improvement meetings with local school staff for program development and implementation. ;Attend conferences, serve on committees, and attend meetings related to CTE. ;Interact with schools and post-secondary institutions in the development of transcripted credit agreements for CTE courses. ;Implement School Board policies. ;Respond to and resolve issues of concern or requests for information from principals, teachers, parents, central service administration, business entities, industry representatives, community associations, school councils, school board members, Department of Public Instruction, other state agencies, or other interested groups or organizations in relationship to CTE programs. ;Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan. ;Complete other duties as assigned Equal Employment Opportunity The Milwaukee Public Schools does not discriminate in its programs, activities, facilities, employment, or educational opportunities on the basis of a person';s sex, race, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or disablilty.
