Substance Abuse Assessment Specialist
Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive and objective ASI assessments and identify appropriate treatment and service recommendations.
- Complete required documentation and data entry accurately and within established timelines.
- Maintain records necessary for grant reporting and invoicing.
- Coordinate professionally with Treatment Courts, detention staff, court personnel, attorneys, treatment providers, and other authorized partners.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable federal, state, and agency requirements.
- Communicate promptly with the Executive Director regarding barriers to completing assigned assessments. Required Qualifications
- Appropriate Wyoming behavioral health or substance use treatment licensure/credentialing for the services provided.
- Experience conducting ASI or other standardized substance use assessments preferred.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment services, and recovery-oriented practices.
- Experience with justice-involved populations, treatment courts, or correctional settings preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple agencies.
