In this energetic role, you will lead engaging dance classes, foster a positive learning environment, and encourage teamwork among dancers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create unforgettable summer memories while promoting physical activity, artistic expression, and personal growth for children of diverse backgrounds. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through dance education during the summer months. Duties Design and implement dynamic dance curricula tailored to various age groups, emphasizing ballet, contemporary, jazz, or other styles as appropriate. Lead daily dance classes that are fun, inclusive, and educational, ensuring all dancers are actively engaged and motivated. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning and creativity. Incorporate creative activities such as choreography projects, improvisation exercises, or themed performances to enhance dancers' artistic development. Support dancers' individual needs by adapting lessons for children with special education requirements or early childhood development needs. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance or leading movement classes for children or young adults. Strong knowledge of ballet technique along with skills in choreography, lesson planning, and classroom management. Background in working with children, including preschool or early childhood education experience preferred.
