Dance & Pom Instructor Responsibilities Lead engaging after-school Dance & Pom classes for elementary and middle school students. Teach age-appropriate choreography and prepare students for an end-of-session showcase performance. Follow Lovely Leaps lesson plans and curriculum. Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage confidence, teamwork, creativity, and sportsmanship. Utilize music, props, and movement to create engaging lessons. Take attendance and maintain accurate class rosters. Communicate professionally with school staff and the Lovely Leaps leadership team. We're Looking For Someone Who... Loves working with children. Has experience teaching, coaching, or working with youth. Has experience in dance, cheer, pom, gymnastics, or related movement disciplines. Is dependable, energetic, professional, and enthusiastic. Is comfortable leading groups of students independently. Has reliable transportation and is comfortable traveling to assigned school sites throughout Escondido. Possesses a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Can successfully pass a background check prior to employment. Bonus Qualifications (Not Required) 12+ Early Childhood Education (ECE) units Experience working with students with special needs Spanish-speaking abilities Current CPR/First Aid certification Vaccination records (preferred by some partner school sites) Physical Requirements Ability to actively demonstrate dance and pom movements throughout class. Ability to stand, move, and teach for up to two hours. Ability to lift and transport approximately 20 pounds of teaching equipment.
