Fall 2026 Afterschool Program (Late August or Mid-September Start)
Compensation:
$45-$55 per session (depending on experience) About the Role We're looking for an energetic and engaging Movement Instructor to lead after-school gymnastics and dance classes for elementary students in San Jose. Programs may focus on gymnastics, hip-hop, or K-pop dance, depending on instructor experience and school needs. This role is perfect for instructors who enjoy keeping kids active while building confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Responsibilities Lead engaging, age-appropriate gymnastics or dance classes. Teach movement fundamentals, coordination, balance, rhythm, flexibility, and beginner choreography. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students. Adapt activities to different ages and skill levels. Prepare equipment and lesson materials before each session. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators. Submit brief after-class session reports and maintain timely communication with the program team. Requirements Experience working with elementary-aged children. Experience teaching or coaching gymnastics, dance, cheer, movement, or a related discipline. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Energetic, dependable, organized, and professional. Ability to commit to a weekly after-school program during the Fall 2026 season. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching gymnastics, hip-hop, K-pop dance, or other youth dance styles. Background in dance, gymnastics, physical education, kinesiology, performing arts, or a related field. Experience leading after-school, camp, studio, or youth recreation programs. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. What We Offer $45-$55 per session, depending on experience. Consistent weekly after-school schedule.
