We are looking for an instructor who is confident teaching all ballet levels, with a strong emphasis on intermediate and advanced dancers. The ideal candidate is dedicated to developing strong technical dancers in a positive, encouraging, and disciplined environment while inspiring a lifelong love of dance. The Ballet Instructor will be responsible for planning and teaching engaging ballet classes, building proper technique, preparing dancers for performances, and choreographing routines for our annual recital. We are looking for someone who values professionalism, teamwork, and creating a safe and respectful classroom culture. Responsibilities Teach ballet classes for dancers of all ages and skill levels, with a primary focus on intermediate and advanced students. Develop and implement lesson plans that emphasize proper ballet technique, alignment, strength, flexibility, musicality, and artistry. Choreograph recital routines and prepare dancers for the annual end-of-year performance. Provide constructive feedback to help dancers improve their technique and reach their individual goals. Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment. Ensure proper warm-ups and conditioning to reduce the risk of injury. Encourage discipline, confidence, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Communicate professionally with academy staff regarding student progress and class needs. Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes and rehearsals. Participate in rehearsals, studio events, and recital activities as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching ballet, particularly intermediate and advanced levels. Strong knowledge of classical ballet technique and training methods. Experience choreographing ballet routines for performances or recitals. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for mentoring young dancers and helping them reach their full potential. Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
Pay:
$50.00 - $65.00 per hour
