Full Job Description Break Dance Coaches & Performers Locations:
Washington, DC and Vienna, VA Position Type:
Part-Time / Flexible / On-Call ALL10 Breaking is seeking skilled, dependable Break Dance coaches and performers to join our team.
Candidates may be scheduled for:
Weekly studio classes After-school programs Day camps and seasonal camps Birthday parties Workshops Private lessons Community events and live performances Strict Skill Requirement Candidates must know how to Break Dance. Please do not apply if you do not have meaningful Break Dance experience. Applicants must be able to demonstrate fluidity, control, musicality, and a working knowledge of foundational Breaking techniques. All-styles dancers who also have strong Breaking experience are encouraged to apply. Please have a recent video of yourself Break Dancing available as part of the application process. Responsibilities Provide professional coaching and instruction in Break Dance Teach students of different ages and skill levels Follow and understand the ALL10 Breaking curriculum and coaching system Create and implement engaging lesson plans Evaluate student progress and performance Provide individualized instruction and support when needed Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured learning environment Collaborate with coaches and staff to coordinate classes, camps, performances, activities, and events Represent ALL10 Breaking professionally during classes, parties, workshops, and public performances Perform other related duties as needed to support the organization Requirements Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in Break Dance Experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, mentoring, or instructional capacity Ability to confidently lead and manage a class Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, professional, punctual, and energetic Ability to work with students of different ages, personalities, and skill levels Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Availability for some afternoons, evenings, weekends, school breaks, and special events Ability to travel to assignments in Washington, DC and/or Vienna, VA Successful completion of a background check Preferred Qualifications Previous experience coaching or teaching Break Dance Experience in additional dance styles Performance or competition experience Experience teaching camps, after-school programs, workshops, birthday parties, or private lessons Knowledge of special education practices, accommodations, or inclusive teaching strategies Training will be provided on the ALL10 Breaking curriculum and coaching process. However, training is not provided on how to Break Dance. Candidates must already possess the required Breaking skills before applying.
