We're looking for strong facilitators who can confidently lead groups, manage energy, and deliver structured, engaging activities that build campers' skills and confidence. Whether in athletics, arts, STEM, or enrichment, you will create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy environment. You'll work within a vibrant DC-based charter school setting, collaborating with camp staff to ensure smooth transitions and a strong overall camper experience. Activity Counselors Activity Counselors serve as skilled leaders within their designated program area and participate in professional development during team orientation and ongoing team meetings. Activity Counselors are responsible for planning and facilitating structured, high-quality activity sessions that build campers' skills, confidence, and engagement over the course of the camp session. We seek qualified individuals with demonstrated experience or training in their activity area (e.g., athletics, arts, STEM, outdoor education, dance, theater, etc.) who can design developmentally appropriate lessons and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. Activity Counselors collaborate closely with Lead and Co-Counselors to ensure camper safety and strong transitions between activities. When not leading an activity block, they support overall camp operations as needed. Activity Counselors report directly to the Head of Program. Qualifications Experience working with children in camp, educational, or recreational settings Demonstrated skill, training, or background in the activity they are leading Strong organizational and group management skills Commitment to safety and high-quality instruction Passion for youth development and skill-building
Pay:
$125.00 - $200.00 per day
