DANCE is seeking a passionate and reliable Ballet Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching ballet to young children and a love for movement, performance, and early childhood development. This role involves delivering age-appropriate instruction, choreographing for seasonal performances, and managing classroom dynamics in a fun and supportive environment. Instructors will teach at various locations and must be available during designated class times. •We will only be considering applicants with reliable transportation. Classes are held around the District of Columbia at various dance studios.• Responsibilities Teach ballet fundamentals and choreography to children ages 5-9 Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs and skill levels Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere Choreograph and organize end-of-session performances Take and submit class attendance weekly Communicate regularly with Site Leads and the Confi.

DANCE Founder regarding class updates, attendance, and student needs Maintain updated contact information for all site personnel Limit absences and tardiness to no more than three (2) instances without prior approval Schedule Applicants must be available for one or more of the following time blocks:
Tuesdays:
6:30-7:30
PM Thursdays:
6:00-7:00
PM Fridays:
5:00-6:00
PM Saturdays:
10:00-11:00 AM and/or 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Skills Experience developing and delivering dance curriculum for young learners Excellent classroom and behavior management skills Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and developmental stages Strong communication and organizational skills Background in ballet, early childhood education, or performing arts Experience choreographing group performances Reliable transportation and punctuality required Collaborative spirit and ability to communicate professionally with staff and parents Qualifications At least 1 year of instructional experience in a studio or classroom setting Experience teaching ballet to children ages 5-9 High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) 2+ years of teaching experience (preferred)
