Job Description
Photography instructors teach youth camera basics, composition, and visual storytelling. Key responsibilities include creating fun lesson plans, leading hands-on photo walks, and reviewing student images. Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, planning and delivering effective lessons, managing student behavior, building positive relationships with students, and continuing your professional development, helping youth to reach their full potential and achieve success in their education. Instructor Role & Duties Plan lessons : design engaging, beginner-friendly projects focusing on lighting and angles rather than complex camera math. Demonstrate skills : show youth how to hold a device, frame a subject using the rule of thirds, and find creative perspectives. Facilitate critique : guide group sharing sessions where youth give supportive feedback and talk about what makes an image work. Qualifications Must have experience teaching photography. Must be creative and able to bring out the best in the youth. Involve youth in outings and events to take photos.
