Our teachers at The Glen Academy bring warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom every day, encouraging children to learn and grow. They will inspire children to be lifelong learners using the Frog Street Curriculum. We are looking for individuals who showcase their creativity and expertise in Early Learning through interactive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom lessons. We are seeking strong, experienced teachers with excellent classroom management and discipline skills who are passionate about working with young children. Full time and part time and positions are available, with morning and afternoon shifts. If you are creative, dependable, and confident in managing a classroom while creating a positive learning environment, we would love to hear from you. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.

Requirements :

- Being able to drive van for special events, drop off/pick up is preferred . Must be at least 18 years of age Clear background check High School Diploma or Equivalent DCF 45 State Mandated Hours required CDA or FCCPC preferred CPR and First Aid Certification Reliable schedule and flexibility Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors All visible tattoos must be covered

Responsibilities :

Work with lead teachers to organize and plan classroom activities Aid in different classrooms to help maintain a positive learning environment and provide as much one-on-one interaction with students as possible Utilize a variety of educational techniques such as storytelling, music & movement, educational media etc. to teach children Follow weekly lesson plans Aid in observing each child to help them reach mile stones Maintain an open line of communication with parents to discuss their child's progress and daily activities Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
