Job Description
Overview STEPS School of Dance is seeking a qualified Acro Dance Instructor starting in late November/December. Classes are on Wednesdays and Fridays. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive acro dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, emphasizing safety, technique, and creativity Lead energetic, motivating classes that combine dance fundamentals with acrobatic elements such as flips, balances, and lifts Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students Provide personalized feedback and encouragement to help students improve their skills and build confidence Choreography development and performance planning for recitals or showcases Maintain a safe space by enforcing safety protocols during physical activities and ensuring proper use of equipment Skills Extensive experience in dance instruction with a focus on acro dance or related disciplines such as ballet, gymnastics, or theater arts Strong background in choreography, dance technique, and performance arts Proven ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to diverse age groups including preschoolers, children, teens, and adults Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management strategies suitable for working with children and youth programs
