THIS POSITION IS A PART TIME POSITION

starting in October 2026, teaching approx. 2-3 classes a week in the Kissimmee area in the afternoon at various preschools and/or elementary schools. Currently, we are looking for 1 dance teacher to teach part time during the afternoon time in the Kissimmee area. We will be hiring more teachers come January covering other areas of Orlando. We are looking for an awesome dance teacher who loves working with young children!

Must:

have dance teaching experience and experience with children.

Preferred:

a college degree in dance, working on a degree in dance, or equivalent professional dance training/experience. More About the Dance Teacher Position We are looking for a motivated, energetic professional to join our staff and create a warm, welcoming environment for our dance students at their weekly ballet classes within their assigned preschool or elementary school. Applicants must be knowledgeable of ballet and creative movement, and must be capable of teaching basic ballet movements and terminology to young children, as well as managing behavior as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching dance to children and may have a degree in dance or be obtaining a college degree in dance or have professional training in dance. The ideal candidates also have experience with caring for and/or instructing children and have the ability to effectively communicate with parents and school staff. Employees will choose the dance classes they will work, as available, and commit to a 12-week session for fall-winter session by contract (and hopefully continue teaching in future sessions). About Le Petit Ballet Co. Le Petit Ballet Co.'s mission is to grow our little dancers in confidence and grace to help them achieve their goals - on stage and in life! Le Petit Ballet Co. is a dance education enrichment program offered to young students ages 3 through 2nd grade in partnership with preschools and elementary schools in Florida and North Carolina. We hold our dance classes in our partner schools, not in a studio, so it's a unique dance/teaching environment that requires independence and reliability. Responsibilities Create a magical, lively, warm atmosphere that supports students' independence and growth while guiding their learning of ballet, creative movement, and general body control. Provide students with clear, consistent instructions about expectations, activities, and movements. Arrive early to various assigned locations, assist children with preparing for class, ensure the safety of children throughout activities, dismiss children with guardians, and leave the space as it was found. Communicate professionally and tactfully with parents, school staff, and Le Petit Ballet Co. director regarding any issues that arise and support needed.

Pay:

$40.00 per hour
