Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages through the art of movement and performance. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, foster a positive learning environment, and nurture students' creativity and technical skills. Your enthusiasm for dance and dedication to arts education will help students develop confidence, discipline, and a love for the performing arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young dancers' journeys while sharing your expertise in various dance styles and creative arts. Duties Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and other styles Lead dynamic dance classes that emphasize proper technique, choreography, musicality, and performance skills Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students Incorporate visual arts components such as photography or sewing into dance projects to enhance creative expression Collaborate with students on choreography development for performances and recitals Support childhood development by adapting teaching methods for preschool and youth programs Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and student portfolios to track growth and achievement Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, especially in dance or performing arts Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and teaching various styles including ballet and contemporary dance Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience teaching visual & performing arts, with an emphasis on creative arts instruction Familiarity with theater production, musical instruments, or teaching instrumental performance is a plus Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that foster creativity and technical skill development Skills in photography or sewing are desirable to support multidisciplinary arts projects Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles relevant to preschool and youth education Passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities to inspire confidence through movement Join us as a Dance Teacher where your energy fuels young minds' passion for the arts!
