Job Overview Alpha Gymnastics & Recreation is launching a brand-new Hip Hop & Ballet Dance Programs, and we are looking for an exceptional Lead Dance Instructor to help build it from the ground up. This is more than a teaching position—it's an opportunity to shape the future of our dance department. We are seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated instructor who is excited to help develop classes, inspire young dancers, and grow a successful program within one of Pembroke Pines' premier gymnastics facilities. Duties Teach engaging and age-appropriate Ballet and Hip Hop classes. Help develop curriculum and class progression. Assist in planning future dance programs and performances. Create a fun, positive, and professional learning environment. Build strong relationships with students and families. Work closely with management to grow the dance program. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom. Able create additional dance styles as demand grows. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching dance across multiple styles, with a focus on ballet and hip hop. Strong background in curriculum development with an understanding of childhood development and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children ages 3-12 , including preschool-age students, with a focus on creating safe and nurturing learning environments. Knowledge of choreography techniques combined with skills in teaching visual & performing arts as well as theater experience. Ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering creativity through arts instruction such as sewing or photography related to dance costumes or stage design. Familiarity with teaching instrumental performance or music can be an asset for integrating musical elements into dance classes. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
