In this dynamic role, you will inspire and guide students of all ages to discover the joy of ballroom dancing, fostering confidence, coordination, and social connection. Your passion for dance and ability to create engaging, inclusive classes will help participants develop their skills while having fun. Whether working with beginners or more experienced dancers, you will play a vital role in promoting physical activity, cultural appreciation, and community spirit through dance. Duties Design and deliver engaging ballroom dance classes for diverse age groups, emphasizing social dance techniques and partner work Develop comprehensive curricula that incorporate choreography, musicality, and dance etiquette tailored to different skill levels Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, positive behavior, and inclusive participation Provide personalized feedback and encouragement to help students improve their technique and confidence Organize and lead social dance events and practice sessions to foster community engagement and practical application of skills Collaborate with event coordinators to plan themed dance nights or special performances that showcase student progress Maintain clean and organized dance spaces, ensuring all equipment is safe and properly stored Requirements Proven experience in teaching dance, with a focus on ballroom styles such as waltz, tango, foxtrot, or swing Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and curriculum development for various age groups Experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in educational or community settings Knowledge of visual & performing arts education methods and classroom management strategies Familiarity with musical instruments or teaching music can enhance lesson planning but is not mandatory Skills in behavior management, childhood development, and creating inclusive learning environments Ability to demonstrate dancing techniques clearly while engaging students through energetic instruction Additional experience in theater arts, sewing for costume design, photography for promotional purposes, or ballet can be advantageous Join us to inspire movement and create memorable dance experiences that bring people together!
