Full-Day Learning Coach at Hands-On Youth Education Center (Part-Time, Weekdays Only) Winter Park, FL $16

- Part-time Overview Meta Humans is an in-person learning environment for kids and teens ages 7 to 16, most of them homeschoolers, many of them bright kids who did not fit the standard classroom.
A typical day:
8:45: Open the building, walkthrough, quick setup. This role has zero slack for lateness; the building is locked until you arrive 9:00 to 10:30: Welcome members, check everyone in, get each kid started on their goals, move kid to kid in short check-ins, update goals and award XP 10:30: Run the morning meeting and lead the word of the day discussion 11:00 to 4:00: Assist the lead educator during workshop and project time, welcome late arrivals, manage lunch and clean-up, run the midday Fun Activity, keep rooms set up and reset Facility upkeep is part of the job, including sweeping and mopping on a set rotation. Kids build, cook, and make messes here, and everyone helps reset Who does well here: People who notice. A member drifting or stuck should catch your eye before anyone points it out Calm and steady when redirecting a kid's energy or behavior Playful and warm with kids and teens, including neurodivergent learners, while staying the role model in the room Reliable to the minute. The morning literally cannot start without you A communicator. If you're confused, unsure, or have an idea, you say so. We'd rather hear it than watch you guess Comfortable using a web app to track goals and log progress No teaching degree required. This is a strong entry point into education, and staff who show initiative grow into lead educator roles.We also love curious people:
you'll have the chance to learn CAD, 3D printing, laser engraving, robotics, and coding alongside the members. Bonus if you bring a talent of your own (arts and crafts, chess, improv, yoga, dance, cooking) or can tutor one-on-one; extra paid hours are available for it.How to apply:
