Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance and movement. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging curriculum plans, lead diverse dance classes, and foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and self-expression. Your expertise will help students develop their technical skills, artistic confidence, and love for the performing arts. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, or contemporary dance Lead engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, choreography skills, and musicality while ensuring student safety and enjoyment Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and respect Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in dance skills and confidence Incorporate elements of theater, visual arts, or performance techniques to enhance students' overall artistic development Plan and organize performances or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their progress in front of an audience Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and program coordinators to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students Qualifications Proven experience working with children and youth programs in dance or performing arts education Strong background in choreography, dance instruction, and curriculum development across multiple styles such as ballet or contemporary dance Knowledge of classroom management techniques suited for diverse age groups including early childhood education or preschool settings Experience teaching visual & performing arts with an emphasis on creative arts instruction and performance preparation Ability to work with students of varying skill levels while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes creativity and growth Familiarity with theater production elements, musical instruments, or photography is a plus for integrating multidisciplinary arts into lessons Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents This role is perfect for individuals dedicated to nurturing artistic talent through innovative teaching methods.
